Understanding anxiety

Room to breathe

Anxiety can look like constant worry, racing thoughts, avoiding situations, or physical signs like trouble sleeping. For children and teens, it may show up around school, friendships or big changes.

Here at Klinger Counseling and Consulting, we help you understand your worries and develop practical tools for everyday challenges, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tailored to your needs.

Tammy Klinger, M.Ed., LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and the founder of Klinger Counseling, established in 2018 to provide a personalized and compassionate approach to mental health services in the Chester County area. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practices, Tammy customizes her methods to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic experience.

With over 20 years of experience working within the disability community, Tammy has served as a special educator, school counselor, and individual and family therapist. The Academy focuses on building students’ resilience for both life and academics. This therapeutic educational environment begins by addressing emotional regulation using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) frameworks, gradually incorporating academic demands as emotional readiness increases.

Tammy’s mission across all her work is to empower individuals, children, teens, and adults to recognize and apply their strengths in achieving self-defined goals, whether in therapy, education, or life.
